Macson’s aim is to deliver throughout the whole of the UK, the most comprehensive range of quality bulbs, cable and auto electrical consumables at the most competitive prices, whilst giving our customers the best service possible.
Macsen Lamps was created in 1982 by John McCormick. With 10 years motor trade experience, he had frequently been asked to supply bulbs, and Macsen Lamps was born to satisfy that demand. John started by supplying bulbs only, to the motorcycle shops and garages in the North West of England, and is still supplying some of them today. His associate at the time, Bernard Senior, ran the same operation in the North East of England. This association gave rise to the unusual name, “Macsen”. John amalgamated the two areas in 1983 when Bernard retired.
In 2023 we changed our trading changing name to “Macson” to better reflect the huge range of products we offer. The “sen” part of Macsen (Bernard Senior) has been changed to “son” as John’s son Paul is now heavily involved with the running of the business.
We now have over 10,000 products available, with 4 catalogues: Cable, Bulb, Wiper Blade and Force (a range of over 9000 consumables), with many products now available directly from this website. (if you can’t find what you need on the site please ring us).
